Here are a few more pictures of our perfect little girl. Kaitlyn, Lucia's aunt and my sister, provided the festive green outfit to fit the occasion. Thanks Kate! Here we are on our way to Lucia's one-week doctor's appointment. All went well. Lucia weighed in at 6lb 4oz last Friday at her first doctor's appointment and bulked back up to 6lb 8oz at this appointment. The doctor said that she is doing great. The only thing that we are working on right now from a health standpoint is her feeding. She has to bottle feed right now, which is a bummer because her frenulum is connected too far forward on her tongue, which makes it really hard to get milk. We went to a lactation specialist last Saturday where we made that discovery and now the little miss will have her first surgery on Friday, 3/20 to snip the frenulum which is a low pain operation and, supposedly, they can eat again just 10 minutes after the operation. Pray that the process goes well for us and that her eating challenges decrease. For the time being, she is getting plenty of nutrition from the bottle though it makes the nights tough because Pat has to get up to feed her while I pump. We're doing great though and very thankful for all of the support that we have received. Another shout out to Kaitlyn who has been tirelessly running around our house taking care of everything: cleaning, laundry, dishes, dinners, guest organization, baby holding/feeding, and on top of all of that putting together a video documenting the Lucia story. We are very blessed to have Kate with us and are unbelievably grateful for her servant’s spirit.

So happy Lucia is doing well! Props to Kaitlyn for being the best sister a girl could have during this time. Sounds like she's keeping the house running. You need her. I don't know what I'd have done without my mother here for the first three weeks with Wesley. Have I told you yet, how pretty Lucia is? She's a gorgeous newborn!
