More Ultrasounds Lovilness

I scanned in a few additional pictures of our little boy from our 19 week ultrasound. I'll keep the "it's a boy" picture off of the internet. :)

This is looking straight down with his face on the left and belly on the right
His shin bones down to his feet. His little feet are crossed. :)
This is just a better picture of the original profile shot that I posted. Still not a great one but less blurry

Vintage Lucia

I can't believe that I forgot that my mom sent me this dress, but I just came across it the other day while nesting like a total psycho preggers lady. Anyway, it was my old dress and it fits Lucia perfectly right now! What luck! She has worn it a few times and is ADORABLE in it. It makes me want to go vintage clothes shopping for her. She wore it to church on Sunday. Here are a few photos. It is hard to get this lady to hold still these days. She is a runner!

A New Murphy- Family of Four!

Well, let's make it official shall we! Pat, Lucia, and I will be adding a new little person to the Murphy family at the end of October! We are completely thrilled. It has been a fun process already. I am 20 weeks pregnant already and the time is flying by. The first trimester was definitely a bit more challenging than with Lucia. I was a bit more sick and a bit more tired but all around not too bad. The sick and tired feelings this go around lasted until about the 16th week. I have been to 2 dr appointments at this point and heard the heartbeat both times! The little person is strong in there. We also had our first official ultrasound at 14.5 weeks. We were able to see the little guy in there with all of the fingers, toes, arms, and feet. It is amazing that, even at 14 weeks and about 4 inches long, the little guy looks like a baby. It is very humbling to know that God has created us all and that he knows and loves our new little person already!

During the 16th week, I began to feel the little person moving around in there. That is my favorite part of pregnancy. It seems to help brush away all the doubts and makes it so much more real. I love feeling his little kicks and punches. I can't wait for them to get even stronger and more frequent.

At 19.5 weeks we had another ultrasound, which was even more amazing. The tech that did the ultrasound was quite competent and gave a lot of detail as she did the ultrasound. She showed us the kidneys, the heart with its little four chambers, and the brain. We also got full confirmation during that ultrasound that we are having a BOY!!!!! We are so thrilled. Lucia will have a little brother just like I had a little brother. Let the boy planning begin...ok, fine, it began a while back. Perhaps the second we found out. :)

Here are the two photos from both ultrasounds

Baby boy at 19.5 weeks (and quite blurry). We didn't get a great profile shot at this ultrasound. The little guy would not hold still and kept putting his hands in front of his face blocking the lovely view.
Baby boy at 14.5 weeks and a much clearer picture.
Ok, this picture makes me look like I am in my third trimester! I usually don't look quite that big but the tight skirt and shirt highlight the enormous belly! This picture is at 20 weeks.

Pigtails and a Bouncy House

Well, I finally did something with the poor girl's hair. I am now hooked. We have done pig tails for the past few days and, today, a pony tail!

And while, I am showing off the new "do", here are a few pictures from Lucy's first adventure at a Bouncy House! She LOVED it.

Lucy climbing up the stairs. I had to save her part of the way up and slide down with her. That slide is huge and really fast...kind of freaked me out too!
Here is our buddy Hollis sliding down. She was a pro!

Thoughts from Lucia's head

Lucy was being super cute the other night and I told her that "she was such a joy". She responded by saying "No, mommy, I'm cute"! Hum...I guess I tell her that she is cute a lot.

She also corrected me one day when I said "Lucy you are so big now" by saying "Mommy Daddy big. Lucy TINY". So true.

Lucia loves sticks and digging in the dirt with sticks. I love this about her. The other day Pat and I were doing some yard work and we had trimmed a plant that has really long and straight branches...the perfect toy for my little friend. So, Lucy was playing with said stick but we had our friends Lindsay and Jackson over. We didn't want Lucy to stab Jackson's eye out, putting a damper on our friendship, so we took it away from her. She was super sad about this and was crying and said "Lucy loves it so much".

To accompany these random thoughts, I will provide some random cuteness via pictures and video. :)

Classic....stickers on the face
Walking in big people shoes
Playing with the new kitchen
Lucia with her favorite little boy baby...Haden! She thinks that Haden is everywhere. He is the boy baby in all of the advertisements where ever we go. He does look like a little Gerber baby doesn't he!!!! Nice work Chris and Kristen! ;)

Lucy at the Fair

Jai invited Lucia and I to join her, Solveig and Allistaire at the Puyallup spring fair a few weeks back. I agreed thinking that Lucy would love the animals and might hit a ride or two. I amazingly underestimated the joy of the fair! It was the best time we have had in a long time....crazy fun people! We saw the animals...they smelled...and there was poop everywhere. I could live without that. No disrespect to the animal lovers about but I was soaked in animal sh$% half way up my legs. Anyway, I digress...the amazing part ended up being the rides. Lucia had so much fun with Solveig. It was such a blast. I thought for sure that she would have trouble on the "fast" toddler rides all by herself but she LOVED it and was smiling from ear to ear the whole time. I could have let that kid ride those crazy rides ALL.DAY.LONG! It was so much fun just to watch her little face filled with so much glee. Solveig was so sweet with her by riding with her each time. I think that being able to do the rides with Solveig made it so much more fun. The Anderson's and Murphy's will most definitely be hitting the fall fair this year! Bring on the corn dogs, french fries, and some super tacky carnival rides!

Two additional, and very important highlights from the fair. The first, clearly, more important than the second!

One super cute Allistaire baby! The cutest baby EVER....just look at that face. I could eat those cheeks!
and some super tasty french fries that Lucy was quite happy about

Kaitlyn's Visit

So Kaitlyn and her friend Tracie came up for a visit back in March. Lucia had such a great time that she is still asking for Kaitlyn and Tracie! We went all over the city with her...Gas Works Park, Capitol Hill where we hit Joe Bar, antique shopping in Snohomish (not a great idea with a 2 year old), Greenlake and so on. The highlight for Lucy was a tent from Kaitlyn and play food from Tracie. Here are some pictures from our adventures.

Our visit to Annacortes, WA where Lucia DID NOT fall asleep on the car ride home....spaz!

Lucy singing in the tent
Humm...that is the best "smile" I can get out of her!

Two of the most lovely people at Gas Works park. Oh, and Lucy likes to wear a diaper on her head most of the time. I have stopped this practice but I indulged it for a while.
