Here I am at 37.5 weeks! The belly seems to be getting lower and lower as the weeks go by. The doctor said today that the baby has dropped even lower. I am also 33% effaced and almost 1cm dilated though the doctor still thinks that I am on track for an on time delivery and said that she definitely won't come before the next appointment. I think that it is actually good to know that he thinks it will be at least a week. That will help me to relax and not feel like every contraction could be the first of the labor contractions. My mind has been playing tricks on me this week and I kept thinking that labor would start at any moment. It is a relief to just be able to sit back, hopefully relax, and enjoy the next week of her kicking around in there. We'll see if I am actually successful at chilling out or whether my overly pregnant and hormonally charged brain will win out. :) My next appointment is on Thursday, 2/26. I am going to try to enjoy life without a baby over the next week. Pat and I are going to see a movie on Friday night and then go visit his parents over the weekend. I am taking the day off of work on Monday, so I might treat myself to a pedicure and a skillet burger. Both are favorite things for me!
As a side note, today was an amazingly beautiful sunny day in Seattle which I am quite grateful for! I worked from home today, so I was able to go for a nice long walk in the sunshine on my lunch break. I didn't even have to wear a jacket for the whole walk. I love the sun!

I am so excited for you two... soon to be 3! I keep wondering how you are doing of if she has come yet. I can't wait to see pictures of her and meet her. Enjoy these last few days before she comes... have fun at the movies with Patrick. Praying for you in these last few days of waiting. I think the waiting is one of the hardest parts!
Thanks Becky! I really appreciate the prayers! I seem to be doing better with waiting the last two days which sounds pathetic though is an accomplishment for me. :)
I can't wait to meet your new little person too only a few weeks behind ours! We'll grab coffee sometime when we are both recovered. :)
Well shoot, I feel like I should get pregnant so I can join in the fun! Just kidding!! Briana, you're looking good. Good job on enjoying the simple things with Pat in the last couple weeks. Soon the simple things aren't always the easiest things. You and Pat are going to be great though, I can see you two taking that sweet girl on all sorts of adventures ;)!! Be sure to sleep in a few days when you can, for my sake...I miss that. ;)
